How to take care of your candles

All our candles are individually hand poured in Oxfordshire. They are made from wax that is a blend of coconut and rapeseed oils, and contain NO paraffin, palm oil, beeswax, toxins or chemical additives.

We use fine fragrances that have been expertly blended and some of these are essential oil blends. Our wicks are made from cotton, linen or wood and our jars can be re-used in all sorts of useful ways! We are trying to avoid using vinyl labels where possible, so some of our candles have paper wraps as labels. These are made from recycled paper and can easily be removed and recycled. All our candles are packaged in re-usable cotton bags and our paper packaging is as eco-friendly as possible.

Perfectly Imperfect

Because we make all our candles using 100 % natural wax, you will find slight imperfections from time to time. This will not affect the burn time or fragrance. Our candles burn for approximately 40-50 hours and continue to provide an excellent throw of fragrance. This is because of the time we take adding the fragrance oils at a precise temperature and stirring to ensure the wax and fragrance are properly combined. Making candles really is a labour of love and we hope you enjoy your candle as much as we have loved making it for you!

WARNING! Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from children and pets and anything that can catch fire. Trim the wick to less than 5mm before lighting. To prevent tunnelling ensure the melt pool reaches the edge of the vessel before extinguishing, particularly during the first burn. Subsequent burns should be no longer than 4 hours. Keep the candle free from any foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings. Only burn the candle on a level, fire resistant surface.
